New Leapmotor brand debuts with C10 electric SUV
A new car brand in the UK is offering a giant leap for drivers with an electric SUV that will be the first in a rapidly expanding model range.
Leapmotor International is a joint venture between Stellantis, owner of brands including Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep, and Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor.
The new Leapmotor C10 will rival models including the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia Niro.
It comes with a 69.9kWh battery offering an official range of 262 miles.
There will be one variant at launch in the UK, with standard equipment including 20-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable front seats, automatic LED headlights, USB A and C charging ports, rear parking sensors and 360-degree parking camera.
There is 435 litres of boot space with the rear seats up and 1,410 litres with the seats folded.
T03 city car to join C10
In addition to the C10, Leapmotor has also revealed the T03, an electric city car with a 37.3kWh battery and claimed 164 miles of range.
The T03 is available to order from September, while order books for the C10 open in October.
Both models will be offered with the Free2Move Charge service, which includes wallboxes and access to public charging networks through a single app.
