Volvo extends range with entry-level EX30 Core trim and luxury updates for XC90
Volvo has introduced a new entry level version of its EX30 small electric SUV.
The new Core specification joins the established Plus and Ultra grades in the line-up and comes with a single motor offering standard official range of 209 miles, with a 51kWh battery, or extended range of 295 miles when fitted with a 69kWh battery.
Core variants aren’t available with the dual-motor powertrain and lack the higher specification of other Plus or Ultra, such as multi-zone air conditioning, heated seats, and a powered tailgate. However, equipment levels in the EX30 Core remain generous, with standard features including a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights with active high beam, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the 12.3-inch touchscreen system comes with Google built in.
The Extended Range model includes an energy-saving heat pump, helping to maximise the distance covered on a single charge.
The new EX30 Core is available to order on lease now, with first customer deliveries expected in early 2025.
New trim levels for XC90
Volvo has announced updates for the Plus Edition and Ultra Edition trim levels of its seven-seat XC90 large SUV.
The Plus Edition introduces perforated Nappa leather upholstery with ventilation for the front seats, tinted windows and 21-inch alloy wheels, upgraded from 20-inch wheels in the outgoing model.
The Ultra Edition upgrades from 21-inch alloys wheels to 22-inch alloy wheels.
Both new XC90 models are available with the B5 petrol and T8 petrol-electric plug-in hybrid powertrains and are available to lease now for deliveries in the autumn.
